Polizeishow 2010/ Press Release

This year, the opening act is being presented by the Show Gymnastics group "Traumfänger" ("Dream Catcher") of the Munich University. Starting harmoniously and with mystic Illumination, they will capture you into an enchanted, new world.

Our Police Orchestra will have their usual well-proven appearance. They will show us that water has no beams and take us to the maritime side of music.

From Switzerland joins us a high performance athletic group from the STV Wettingen. They fascinate their audience with a spectacle of somersaults and other daring jumps on the mini-trampoline.

Another international guest is the Danish gymnastics group "Talentholdet" from Kolding. Their act is fast- paced and rhythmic, with elements of gymnastics and acrobatics.

A Must at the Police Show, a Classics with more than 40 years experience: they have matured with the show but are not ready for retirement. "The Flying Grandpas" just returned from Canada. A top athletic performance combined with a hint of comedy have made them a blockbuster everywhere.

The qualification is still going on for the final game in the Alsterdorf gym. There, the future finalist will meet the four- legged Soccer Players of the Hamburg Police. We are all awaiting the match with much suspense.

From overseas, we will be surprised by a crew from the Canadian Forces and their very special "Jiffy Jeep Team".

A large group of students from the Gesamtschule Horn will entertain us with their Cajon- Orchestra. This will be quite a noisy piece of entertainment!

The "Club Piruett" from Talinn was the 2009 World Champion of Rhythmic Gymnastics. They will present their breath taking choreography to us in Hamburg.

Our next guest, the "Kanakovs" join us from Moscow. They are masters at the Russian Bar, a challenge in and of itself. Their performance culminates in a triple somerset, a jump that only a handful of athletes dares.

The roaring sound of the BMW motorcycles filling the hall is part of the new exciting choreography of the Motorcycle Squad of the Hamburg Police. Audacious manoeuvers in singles and concentration paired with courage in the quadrille will make you hold your breath.

Another guest are the "Starbugs" from Switzerland. Definitely the uncoolest HipHop gang. These three boys invented a comical version of rhythmic gymnastics. Be ready for wit and Esprit with Swiss precision.

The Orchestra of the Hamburg Police will perform before as well as during the Show.
